The Lancaster Herpetological Society (LHS) wants to thank everyone who attended the nature walk this Friday at Chickies Rock County Park.

It was a nice way to commemorate our first socially-distant outdoor nature walk at the Chickies Rock County Park two years ago! While no milk snakes were found like last time, a number of nice friends were seen including: an Eastern Copperhead, a Northern Brown Snake, and an American Toad.

It was a nice evening to take a walk and look for reptiles and amphibians.
Jesse and Zach take a moment to appreciate the quaint evening.
A slippery Northern Brown Snake!
An America Toad is confronted by the specter of a Red Eyed Tree Frog.

Once again, thank you to everyone who made it to the walk. Next month’s meeting will be the first indoor meeting in more than two years! It will be held at That Fish Place! That Pet Place! in their conference room. Seating will be limited, so we ask that you RSVP at info@lancasterherp.org if you plan on attending. An email with more details will be sent closer to the meeting. The club’s very own Zach Barton will be talking about how to attract amphibians to your yard!

Be safe and keep herping!
